Just a little information about me: I live in Opunake and have done most of my life; it is a fabulous place to bring up kids. An awesome beach, which is one of the safest in Taranaki, also we have Middleton Bay being the home of the Opunake Boat club and the boat ramp, also Opunake Lake.

You can see why I have chosen to live there. Keith (who sadly passed away in 2009) and I have four adult children, who really enjoyed growing up on the coast, Alex, Erin, Joshua and James.

I work from the Eltham office covering Eltham, Kaponga through to Opunake. We have a great team in our office, Carolyn Cragg being my PA and our wonderful Admin Claire Dorrian. We cover the whole process of Real Estate, Buying, Selling and Property Management making the investment options so much easier and stress free.

Real Estate is a great career. It can be a very rewarding occupation helping our Clients through what can be a very stressful time. For me it was also an opportunity to further my education in the Real Estate Sector through studying at Massey University to attain my Agents License.

I moved to Taranaki from Auckland in 1984. I wanted more than the 'big city' life for my children and it's been the best decision I've ever made.

Taranaki - what an awesome place to live! From the mountain to the sea in just 20 minutes, this place has excellent educational institutions with loads of sporting opportunities for kids - with fantastic people to top it off!

During my life here, I have had a fantastic variety of positions, including farm work (believe it or not, I loved milking cows). I've been a machine operator with Fonterra, a diversional therapist, painter/decorator and also an interior consultant.

In 1999, I married David. Between us, we have five children and six incredible grandchildren - hopefully there's more to come.

I am extremely proud to be involved with local Eltham organisations. I have a great passion for youth affairs (I am called 'Ma' by more young people than I can count). I also must confess that I'm not a sporty person - the closest thing I do with sport is watch it.

Real estate is not where I thought my future lay. In 2008, I worked as a relief administrator in McDonald Real Estate's Eltham office and quickly began work as a property manager. I am a licensed salesperson and a proud sales associate, reporting directly to Viv Scott within the Eltham/Kaponga market.

I love my job - it's different every day. Meeting new clients and tenants is a privilege - one I won't take for granted.

Take a look at the number plate on my car - that says it all!

I sell it - sales professional - management professional.

I am living in Inglewood and have been in the North Taranaki area all my life. I have been farming a sheep/beef and grazing block in Tarata since 1994 and have enjoyed the farming background.

I am the finance manager of the Kaimata Board of Trustees and the link with a government department certainly ensures you have good patience and high tolerance levels.

Hi my name is Erica Summerfield, Rental Manager of McDonald Real Estate Ltd, Inglewood Branch.

Since I started in April this year, I have really enjoyed being Rental Manager of the Inglewood Branch.

My No. 1 priority is providing a top service for landlords and tenants. I love the challenge and most of all, meeting new people.

In my weekends I enjoy gardening, tramping, bike riding, walking, reading and catching up with my family and friends.

Gayleen Chapman

assets/Uploads/_resampled/SetWidth107-GayleenChapmanHSB35C2.jpg
I’m 100% sold on Inglewood. It’s a great community where people are warm, welcoming and will wave out while passing by. It’s also a popular lifestyle choice given the short commute to New Plymouth and the convenience of shopping locally. It’s easy to like Inglewood and I’m proud to be working here.

Like a duck to water, switching from property valuation to real estate sales has been a smooth transition. Property is a passion of mine that started with a business degree majoring in property valuation and management and continued with three years experience as a graduate property valuer. Becoming a registered valuer in 2009 was meant to mark the end of the journey - until I was asked to join real estate!

Being at the forefront of real estate is a dynamic role. I relish the challenge of achieving the best possible price in the shortest period of time. I want my vendors to list with confidence and to enjoy the experience of selling their home successfully. I’m a firm believer in offering genuine ‘fair dinkum’ advice and welcome all enquiries.

Shelley Wilkin

assets/Uploads/_resampled/SetWidth107-shelley-B+W.jpg
My name is Shelley Wilkin and I have started my new and exciting career with McDonald Real Estate Ltd in Inglewood as a Property Consultant and Rental Manager.

A little bit about me: I am married to Bruce and we have 5 fantastic adult children between us and three awesome grandchildren. We live on a lifestyle block on the outskirts of Inglewood. Taranaki born and bred and living locally near Inglewood has helped me gain knowledge of this great and close knit community.

I have previously spent 15 years in sales and thoroughly enjoyed it. I represented Taranaki in Indoor Volleyball and have also participated in Beach Volleyball at a competitive level. My other outside interests include horses, netball, basketball and all other sports. Real Estate has been a passion of mine for many years and now I have the opportunity to fulfil this dream.

I am looking forward to the many challenges that will be put in front of me.

"Was happy with the way all things went-obvious experience, sincerity and working with the customer in mind." Brent, Inglewood

"After having the house listed for 8 months with another real estate company with no results, Shelley had an offer in our price range after 3 weeks and a contract after 4. Kevin Hight

I have lived and owned businesses in Taranaki for the last 22 years. I have been married to my wife, Pam, for 30 years and we have two sons, Daniel and John.

Having recently joined the commercial team at McDonald Real Estate's New Plymouth and Hawera offices (primarily based in New Plymouth), I am excited at the prospect of being with the company when it celebrates its centenary in 2012. This is a fabulous achievement for a family business - one that I am proud to be a part of as we move into the second century.

I have had a long and successful career in retail businesses over the last 20 years, winning the Westpac Business Award for the Retail of the Year twice as well as winning the Small Business of the Year. I have also achieved many awards in the Top Shop yearly service-based competition. Passionate about excellent customer service, I have studied the intricacies of a sale with the likes of Harry Friedman, where I learnt how to find the best product for my clients.

I strongly believe that with understanding, a natural enthusiasm and a positive outlook, I can provide my clients with the most impressive service available.

Cedric Grantham

assets/Uploads/_resampled/SetWidth107-Cedric-Grantham.jpg
Real estate has been a lifetime passion of mine. Since joining the industry in 1976, I have gained significant local experience, which I believe is second to none!

During this time, I have been responsible in a variety roles and positions within the industry but I'm now clearly focused in commercial real estate sales within Taranaki.

I am thrilled to have recently joined the team at McDonald Real Estate Ltd - a company with the same values as mine: honesty, integrity and the commitment to the very best real estate experience. So if you need a knowledgeable commercial agent, please do not hesitate to give me a call and let my experience count for you.

I have been working in the property management area since 2003, having been a retail manager for many years. I have always worked with the public and feel very passionate and dedicated to giving the very best service to owners, helping them to achieve a profitable investment with the least stress.

My main role in the business is in inspection and maintenance, which means I have as much to do with the tenants as the owners. I also liaise closely with trades people. I have two grown daughters, three great step-sons and 11 wonderful grandchildren who play a very big part in my life. My interests are in the theatre, motorbike riding and gardening with my partner Kevin as often as time allows.

The 'sharing and caring' mantra that is inherent in all that McDonalds does, is 'To give is to receive'.

This is what attracted me to McDonald Real Estate brand, where the company puts back into their communities be it the Te Rangimarie Hospice or the local bowling club. Also having a team of professionals with flexible programs to assist with the marketing and sale of your property is so much better for my vendors.

Why delay, call me today to discuss the marketing of your property.

In 1976 at just 22 years old, I joined the business with my father, Tom, and became one of the youngest in the country to hold an associate of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. In 1979, I went on to become the managing director of the company, which has since grown from a two person partnership in 1976 to a company with a staff of 46 and a turnover in excess of $100 million.

I am based in our Stratford office, which still occupies the same spot that my grandfather, Michael, set up in 1920. As a third generation owner, my main goal is to ensure the company remains among the top performers in the industry and that it continues to grow and prosper until the forth and possibly fifth generation of family take over the reins.

Diann and I are also proud grandparents to Ella, Lilly and Oliver. I love living in Stratford, this being the place of my birth and I have enjoyed selling Real Estate with McDonald Real Estate Ltd since 1994.

Stratford is a lovely district to live and work in, with excellent facilities, good schools and a caring community. In my spare time I enjoy socialising, playing bridge, reading, and watching sport.

As I have recently retired as mayor of the Stratford District, I intend to spend more time travelling with the family. For someone who enjoyed a career as a master builder, I get a lot of pleasure out of listing and selling homes. It's great when you can take your hobby to work!

"Wayne was excellent the whole time - it took me a solid year at least to find our house!! Wayne would always ring if a new house came on the market he thought we may be interested in. If I saw a house I wanted to see, we would ring him. He was always available, nothing was a problem or silly question. If there was nothing on the market we would be interested in, he would ring and just touch base with us." Paul and Sylvia, Stratford

"Very happy with both Wayne and Maureen. Very relaxed." Anne, Stratford

"Very pleased. Good service and straight to the point." Brian, Stratford

Danny Bates

Taranaki born and bred I'm proud to be a Kiwi and a "Naki" boy. After leaving Inglewood High School in 1989, I went to visit England (my father's birth country) and ended up staying there for 18 years, during this time I met my wife Noni and had two children Kyle (17) and Emily (14).

In 2006 I brought my family back to New Zealand for a holiday and we fell in love with the charm that New Zealand has to offer. One year later we returned to live, and set up home in Stratford where my close family now resides.

Our story gets better and so far we have "lived happily ever after". We purchased a home in Stratford - Noni now works at the local Mitre 10, Kyle has just left Stratford High School and has begun a building apprenticeship and Emily has just moved from St Joseph's School to Stratford High School. We also have a new addition to our family - our baby "Snowy" a four year old Bichon Frise.

On returning to New Zealand I decided to move into Real Estate and after successfully completing my Real Estate course at Polytech I joined the McDonald Real Estate Ltd family business in 2008 and am based at the Stratford residential office. This family company has been selling real estate for nearly 100 years and I'm proud to say that I now feel part of the "family" company.

I've learnt so much in Real Estate, no two days are the same, there's a great sense of pride in being able to assist people achieving their goals.
I feel my greatest strength is honesty - I'd rather lose a deal than feel I've done a misjustice to someone. I'm not in this business to do just "one-off deals" with my clients, I want to achieve "life-long deals/friends" and by ensuring all of my client's needs are met to the best of my ability I hope this holds me in good pedigree for the future.

Outside my family and Real Estate life, I've thrown myself into the great Stratford community. I am chairman of the Stratford Community Safe Trust of which I work very closely with my fellow trustees, the Stratford District Council, Police and various other organisations, I am a member of the Stratford Business Association and I also enjoy playing golf of which I'm an a active member of the Stratford Golf Club. My other interests including camping, fishing and also a little bit of socialising.
My future goals? Well with the help of my family, the McDonald Real Estate family and the Stratford community I feel anything is possible. My motto in life is "treat people as you like to be treated and life is for living so live it to the full".

By choosing to give me the opportunity to help you with your Real Estate needs, you have my personal guarantee that I will endeavour to achieve YOUR expectations.
Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction, please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance.

Stratford has been my home for the last 25 years. It's a town I've grown to love and enjoy with the people and friends I've made on my life's journey. I pride myself on being an honest and reliable person, having always given my best to every employer I've worked for. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, I worked as a nurse aid; a pool manager; I have done travel, tourism and office work, as well as volunteer and community work. I love dealing face to face with people and for the past two and a half years, I have also been selling cars to locals, which I embarked on as a new career challenge. Now, as a real estate agent, I feel I have found my niche in today's society. I am 100% dedicated to being the best ever agent for my clients. I work with a great team here in Stratford and I'm prepared to learn new skills along the way. I will be listing and selling properties with my usual integrity and honesty.

Margaret Mangino

Hi, I'm Margaret ... 'Maggie' to my mates. My husband Darcy and I have lived in Waitara for almost all of our 46 years of marriage. It's here that our three children, Stephen, Donna and Jackie have been educated, grown up and finally flown the proverbial nest.

I am a well certified member of the 'Granny Brigade'. We have seven grandchildren, ranging from the tender age of four years, to the very mature 26!!

I have worked in the retail sector of the town for close to 37 years - almost 14 of those in real estate. In 2008 I attained AREINZ status - something that helped me realise I could still handle the mental challenge of study and exams, culminating in a successful result. I have a huge passion for real estate. In 2006, I invited Kerrie Montgomerie into a partnership with me (Kerrie had previously been our receptionist from when the office opened in 2000). The partnership has proved to be a very successful move and as a team we have gone from strength to strength, not only building a very strong place in residential sales but also specialising and achieving the reputation of being the leading lifestyle team in the area. Waitara is a great place to be. I have seen many families grow up, move away and often return again.

For them and myself, Waitara is home; I can assure you, that if you put your trust in me - in the selling or buying of a property - I will in return give you the very best of service, honesty and a commitment to go that "EXTRA MILE".

"Use Margaret and Kerry if you are in the Waitara area. They were great. We were overseas and she still contacted us promptly, rang and emailed." Matt and Marelize, Waitara

"Open and honest. Excellent work ethics. They get the job done." David & Julie, Waitara

"Friendly personal and efficient service. Many thanks for your friendly efficient service. We will definitely use McDonalds in the future if the occasion arises." Russell and Jill, Waitara

Wayne Beggs

As a potential client you may want to know a little about me, so I've penned this short profile. I began my Real Estate Career in Waitara in 1989 - seems such a long time ago!

Apart from a three year period travelling overseas I have been listing and selling property in the Waitara and surrounding areas ever since. In 2001 I completed my management and licensee papers through Massey University.

I managed the Waitara office for 8 years and now under the Real Estate Agents Authority Act 2008 I have licensed agent status. I guess having survived this many years in a profession that is very topsy - turvy, means that I must be doing something right! I still get a real buzz out of seeing the delight that both Vendors and Purchasers experience when a transaction has taken place.

My vast experience means I'm well-tuned to the needs of my clients and I especially pride myself on my knowledge regarding the rental investment field. Waitara born and bred, I am perhaps better known for my golfing exploits, having played over 100 matches for Taranaki - believe it or not, a lot of business gets done on the Golf Course! If I am able to assist you in any way with your Real Estate requirements please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kerrie Montgomerie

assets/Uploads/_resampled/SetWidth107-Kerrie-Montgomerie.jpg
I have lived in Waitara all my life and come from a well known local family. I have two great daughters, Casey and Tiaan, who keep me on my toes and my feet firmly on the ground.

Sport plays a major part in my life - especially my netball. I am currently involved with Raukura Netball Club and have been for coming up thirty years - mostly as a player and recently as a coach of which I am very proud. Both my daughters play, so I guess that begins the next chapter. We are very sports-orientated and do a lot of travelling around supporting the different interests the family are involved in.

I have been working alongside Margaret Mangino since June 2006, which has been a great learning curve, and our partnership continues to thrive in the local residential and lifestyle market. If I can assist you with your real estate requirements in the future, please call.

Maxine Rogers

Having been in real estate since 2004, I am convinced I have found my calling. Helping people into their own home is such a buzz and meeting new people every day is something I look forward to.

Coming from a farming background, the change to real estate was a real challenge, but something I have thrived on. Achieving "Rookie of the Year" and then winning the "Customer Care" award the following year gave me great satisfaction in knowing I picked a career that suited me. I am fortunate to have two awesome children,

Libby and Baxter, who both give me balance and enjoyment much needed in life. My outside interests include tennis, tennis and more tennis, leaving me fit and strong for erecting those big advertising signs and also for running from property to property for my clients. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge real estate brings and believe it shines through to the way I go about my job.

If you are in need of an ENERGETIC, ENTHUSIASTIC and HONEST person, look no further and give me a call!

TESTIMONIALS

"Maxine kept me informed in all areas of the sale. This was important as I did not live in the area. Her communication was great, whether through telephone or when I called at the office. These 'factors' I'm sure played an important part of the 'sale' keeping me informed." Tui, Hawera

"Wayne and Maxine work as a great team, - if one wasn't there to take a call, the other was and was equally as helpful. Maxine often rang just to keep me updated." Bryn and Marise, Bell Block

"Maxine matched my requirements with the listing after a brief conversation and she was 'bang on'". Lisa, Waitara

My name is Raewyn Breman and I have worked for McDonald Real Estate since 2002. I started in the Waitara office as the receptionist and I also did property management for approximately four years before deciding to move into a sales role, which also included property management. After working in these two roles combined for some time, I gave up the sales role, realising my true passion is in dealing with rental properties.

I now reside in Lepperton and work from both the Waitara and Bell Block offices. I am a well-established property manager in the Waitara area and I now cover Urenui, Bell Block, Fitzroy and the surrounding rural areas.

I can offer you competitive rates and professional service for full management or casual landlord needs. Call me today for further information.
