Having emigrated from Scotland thirty years ago with my husband Graeme and children Gordon and Avrael, I have found New Zealand a wonderful country to live in. Most of this time has been spent in Taranaki. Originally from a farming background, my parents owned a dairy farm in Cardiff. My early working years were spent with the Taranaki Electric Power Board but after 14 years in the industry, I decided it was time for a change. My wife Maureen and I purchased a dairy in Inglewood and it wasn't until 1992 that I ventured into real estate, gaining my branch manager's certification three years later. In 2002, Maureen and I sought an adventure and headed to England where we worked for an agency for the next 12 months, which specialised in animal minding and house protection.
